Then I accidentally found your blog and since then it is the second useful place for me (the first one is the CAD help:)).

I've learned a lot from this place.
Thank you!Ominaeshihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08686810024713862938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-161408568828348657.post-69991731270198786402007-07-23T13:09:00.000-04:002007-07-23T13:09:00.000-04:00I don't know here, but i visit her website and get...I don't know here, but i visit her website and get her e-mails. She has written many cad books so she should be well versed in publishing and writing. You were very lucky to get to work with her.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08271671745973808745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-161408568828348657.post-1124479550666697542007-07-23T10:37:00.000-04:002007-07-23T10:37:00.000-04:00Good to hear. ;)Don't be too jealous. She's a real pro when it comes to AutoCAD and publishing and I feel I really learned a lot from her about both.Mistress of the Dorknesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03812184646282811013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-161408568828348657.post-42956489086188998062007-07-21T16:29:00.000-04:002007-07-21T16:29:00.000-04:00We did and got rid of him. I'm starting to put some of our plans in a CAFM system and I can't autocreate all of the spaces because there are frickin gaps all over the place!

I'm surprised I've got any hair left after three days of space creation (p-lining in vanilla autocad).Mistress of the Dorknesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03812184646282811013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-161408568828348657.post-52889714957472607862007-07-20T22:43:00.000-04:002007-07-20T22:43:00.000-04:00I worked at a place where we fired a guy for not u...I worked at a place where we fired a guy for not using osnaps!! He said he never used them on the board so why start now. Interesting argument.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08271671745973808745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-161408568828348657.post-59878747158732962582007-07-20T20:59:00.000-04:002007-07-20T20:59:00.000-04:00I also manage the CAD standards in my company (wel...I also manage the CAD standards in my company (well, also throughout our whole system, but, sort of by default because noone else was doing it).

My biggest challenge was making it general enough that it would apply to all disciplines, yet specific enough that we could still ensure some decent quality documentation.

I work in Facilities Management, so I process Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and any special systems we have. I had to remain pretty vague about the drafting parts, but, pretty specific about the CAD parts (even though some things are VERY basic, you'd be surprised at the crap people try to pass off as drawings... USE OSNAPS for FlyingSpaghettiMonster's sake!!! it's not that hard!).

;)Mistress of the Dorknesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03812184646282811013noreply@blogger.com
